Shipping Policy

    National Shipping

    • Standard Shipping (5-8 days): $13.00

    This shipping rate applies to orders where the destination is within the contiguous United States. Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories outside of the contiguous United States will incur additional fees.

    International Shipping
    Shipping to Canada costs $35 for eligible orders. If you are an international customer outside of Canada, those shipments are completed on a case-by-case basis. Please email victoria@thingstheylove.co to inquire about international shipping to countries other than Canada. 

    No Expedited Shipping
    We do not offer expedited shipping. Apologies, but we are a very small operation with limited resources.

    In-Store Pickup
    Customers are welcome to pick up their online orders from our location in the Raincross District by choosing the "Pickup In Store" option during checkout. Please find our address and store hours on our contact page.

    "Shipping not available" Message
    If you receive a "Shipping not available" message during checkout, it could be due to one of the following reasons. If you are trying to purchase Maileg toys or Large Items, please see below for details.

    For all other items, this message appears when they are available for in-store pickup only. This is based on our negative experiences with shipping these products, regardless of shipping destination. However, if you believe you've received this message in error, please email victoria@thingstheylove.co

    Maileg
    We do not ship Maileg products to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Ohio because it is illegal to do so. These states have laws against toys that use recycled polyester, as Maileg does. 

    Large Items
    We no longer ship large items due to high shipping costs and the fact that they often don't ship well, leading to broken toys and unhappy customers.

    Returns + Refunds Policy

    All Orders
    Other than the one circumstance outlined below, we do not offer refunds. You may exchange unwanted items for something of equal value or return items for store credit.

    To complete an exchange or return, we require proof of purchase. Items sold more than 30 days prior are not automatically eligible for exchanges or store credit and will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

    Online Orders
    If you place an order online and cancel it within 24 hours, you will be fully refunded. After 24 hours, we do not offer refunds but you will receive store credit.

    To return or exchange an item from an online order, please send proof of purchase to victoria@thingstheylove.coYou will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs.
