Shipping Policy

Free Shipping
Orders that meet all the following requirements will receive free shipping:

  • total is $150.00 USD before taxes and after discounts
  • destination is within the contiguous United States
  • does not contain any products designated for In-Store Pickup only (see below for details)

National Shipping

  • Standard Shipping (5-8 days): $9.00
  • Expedited Shipping (1-2 days): $19.99

These shipping rates apply to orders that meet the following requirements:

  • total is $1-149.00 USD before taxes and after discounts
  • destination is within the contiguous United States
  • does not contain any products designated for In-Store Pickup only (see below for details)

Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories outside of the contiguous United States will incur additional fees.

International Shipping
Shipping to Canada costs $35 for eligible orders. If you are an international customer outside of Canada, those shipments are completed on a case-by-case basis. Please email contact@thingstheylove.co to inquire about international shipping to countries other than Canada. 

Expedited Shipping
Customers who choose Expedited Shipping are paying for their package to be shipped the fastest way by the delivery company, not for their order to be processed faster on our end. Apologies, but we are a very small operation with limited resources. If you have a special request, please email us at contact@thingstheylove.co and we will do our best to accommodate you.

In-Store Pickup
Customers are welcome to pick up their online orders from our brick and mortar store by choosing the "Pickup In Store" option during checkout. You can find our address and store hours on our contact page.

"Shipping not available" Message
If you receive a "Shipping not available" message during checkout, it could be due to one of the following reasons. If you are trying to purchase Maileg toys or Large Items, please see below for details.

For all other items, this message appears when they are available for in-store pickup only. This is based on our negative experiences with shipping these products, regardless of shipping destination. However, if you believe you've received this message in error, please email us at contact@thingstheylove.co

Maileg
We do not ship Maileg products to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Ohio because it is illegal to do so. These states have laws against toys that use recycled polyester, as Maileg does. 

Large Items
We no longer ship large items due to high shipping costs and the fact that they often don't ship well, leading to broken toys and unhappy customers.

Order Cancelation Policy

Orders canceled within 24 hours of placing your order will be fully refunded.

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 15% of your original order's total cost when you cancel your order more than 24 hours after placing said order. 

Return Policy

Please email returns@thingstheylove.co to initiate your return.
Our policy lasts 21 days. If 21 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To Return Product
Please contact us for return address.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Any further questions regarding returns can be emailed at returns@thingstheylove.co

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 21 days after delivery

Refunds for products sold at full price
You should expect to receive a refund within 4-6 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (5 to 10 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed and the total amount, excluding shipping fees, will be applied to your original method of payment.

Refunds for discounted products
We do not refund products purchased while on sale or with a discount code, but we do offer store credit.
